Boho Vibes

Pants : Forever 21, Crop Top : H&M, Bag : Singapore, Belt : Primark, Shoes : Forever 21, Sunglasses : The Snob Shop, Bracelet : Asos

It was one of those disastrous mornings when I woke up with an afro! I had shampooed my hair the previous night and fallen asleep without drying it. Bad hair days like these make me want to hide in bed, but there was a whole pile of to-do's pending. There was no way my 'afro' was going to stop me from getting to work. So in such situations, the best thing to do is to make the most of it. It was a bad hair day, and I had to make it good.

So I braided my hair, and added a little colour with a torn piece of cloth that I found lying around my room. It immediately drew the attention away from the mess my hair was in! I wore a grey crop top and a pair of printed palazzos, which by the way, are the most comfortable pants I have worn in ages! A brown belt and satchel later, everything looked so bohemian!

So the next time you face a similar tragedy, try doing what I did! Also, don't fall for satin ribbons to braid with your hair if you want the messy and tattered braid. The ideal thing to do would be to go to your local tailor and raid his pile of rubbish! You'll find strips of cloth of different textures, colours and lengths. You could also use two different ones at a time. You'll get an easy and chic boho look, and what's more, it'll be for free!

What do you do to turn your bad hair days good? Don't forget to tell me in the comments below!

Stripes Kinda Day

Pants & Necklace - Forever 21, Crop Top - Hill road (Bandra), Heels - Done By None, Cuff - Asos, Sunglasses - The Snob Shop

The whole drop crotch or harem pants trend is actually very subjective. You either like them or you hate them! Personally, I think it depends entirely on how you style them.

The minute I saw these pants at the Forever 21 store, the style and print caught my eye, and I just HAD to get them! Normally, I would have stuck to the basics and paired them with a black crop top and some colourful jewellery, but I wanted to go a little bold for this post. So I chose a bright lime green crop top. Since I was anyway going for bright and colourful, I thought of adding a contrast with the blue heels.

As for accessories, I didn't think this look needed much, since there was already quite a bit of colour, but I just couldn't pass on the necklace or the sunglasses! When I tried them on, they put the entire look together! Also, I had ordered this cuff from Asos a while back, and it just never fit me well on my wrist. So I chose to experiment and wear it on the arm instead!

P.S. : These sunglasses are part of The Snob Shop's new collection going up tomorrow!

Leather x Denim

Since we technically don't have much of a spring here in Bombay, the heat is already starting to drive me, and I'm sure everyone else, completely crazy! Summer is here! One may think that leather is more of a fall or winter thing, but my love for leather is so strong, that not even the scorching heat can keep it locked away in my closet! Any season is a good enough season for me to wear it. And besides, faux leather doesn't really make you feel hot now, does it?

I love the way leather looks with plaid, denim or actually almost everything! So, in this post, I chose to show you 2 ways of how I would style leather with denim this season.

Shirt (old) & Bag : Primark, Leggings & Sunglasses : The Snob Shop, Shoes : Westside, Rings : Singapore

These faux leather leggings have just that perfect amount of edge to make them look different from regular leather leggings, and are my current faves from Snob's new collection that will be up next week!

Skirt & Heels - Forever 21, Shirt & Rings - Colaba, Necklace - Topshop, Sunglasses - Goa

I've been trying to get my hands on a faux leather skirt for a while now, and this skirt from Forever 21 was an absolutely perfect find! I paired it with an acid wash denim shirt, but I would also love to wear it with a crop top or a plain tee.

From Day to Night

My work timings are always bizarre and I usually tend to work on weekends as well. So whenever I want to go out at night, I have to go back home and get ready, or go dressed in the same clothes I've been wearing all day. So, I decided to wear the same clothes, but accessorise them differently.

Since a lot of my work doesn't include staying in one place, but more of running around doing errands, I chose a pair of comfortable shorts and a simple white tee. In the day, I wore a pair of gladiator sandals, and a tribal necklace. For night, I threw on a printed jacket and ditched my flats for a pair of neon wedges. A necklace and lipstick change later, I was ready! It takes less than 5 minutes, and the transformation from day to night is completely different!

Try it for yourself, ladies! And let me know on Instagram if you do!

Until next time,
