#SnobTravels : Hong Kong

Dress : Forever 21, Shoes : Causeway Bay street stall, Necklace : Colaba, Umbrella : Bossini

Hello there!
This post was shot back in May, when I got the chance to explore Hong Kong. A couple of people asked me about the places I visited while I was there, especially the places I shopped from. It's taken me a really long time to put this post up. I could come up with a million excuses, but honestly, laziness got the best of me.

I was in Hong Kong for just a week and I tried to make the most of my trip. So here I'm sharing with you some shopping places and restaurants with yummy food. This outfit was shot at the Avenue Of Stars, which is on the Victoria Harbourfront. The place is an absolute delight to visit if you enjoy long walks by the bay. I even got to see the biggest cruise ships and was pretty fascinated! I went for a very basic look that day, and wore a comfortable maxi dress with a black statement necklace.

No trip to Hong Kong is complete without a visit to Disneyland, Ocean Park and Madame Tussauds, but here's some other places you can go to as well! For shopping, the first place you should definitely go to is Causeway Bay. You can submerge yourself in 5 storeys of Forever 21 goodness there! Also, the street shopping there has very chic and affordable pieces. Canton Road in Kowloon has almost all the brands, right from H&M to Louis Vuitton! You can go to IFC mall as well, but somehow, I preferred Canton Road. If you're looking for cosmetics and beauty products, then you have to go to Sasa! You can find a Sasa store almost every 3 blocks all over the city!  I have also heard a lot about the night markets, but sadly couldn't visit them this trip. Make sure to check out Maple, which is a local brand that has pretty cute clothes and shoes!

For food, Gaylords of course, has the yummiest Indian food! Since I'm a vegetarian, my food options were a little limited. Herbivores in Causeway Bay is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I've been to! Just around Herbivores is a little stall that serves the most delicious bubble tea. Also, MCDonald's had apple pie, which was sadly discontinued in India! If you're looking for a place with sheesha, you can go to Vibes at The Meera Hotel near Tsim Tsa Shui. The ambience is surreal!

So, if you're planning a trip abroad, Hong Kong is definitely a fun place to visit, and you don't even need a visa to get there!

Skirt - Missa More (get it here), Heels - MakeMeChic, Tee - H&M, Rings - Blur & The Snob Shop (old collection), Clutch, Necklace & Sunglasses - The Snob Shop

Off late, everyone's been wearing the mid-length, or 'midi' skirt. I, too, am completely in love with the trend! I think it's absolutely and effortlessly chic, and I've been wanting to wear one on the blog for a while now. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll probably know of my recent obsession with maxi skirts. Unfortunately, since we are in the middle of the monsoons, wearing one is simply not an option. So, I've decided to stock up on midi skirts till the rains decide to spare us from their icky-ness.

Missa More is a clothing brand that launched recently, and when I checked out their website, the first thing that caught my eye was this gorgeous skirt. It's so Carrie Bradshaw! It reminded me of one of her looks from Sex and the City 2, and I just couldn't help but get inspired by it! I got this tee from H&M a couple of months back, and from all the takes I have seen of the CĂ©line t-shirt craze, this one has been my favourite so far! For this look, I put some of my holographic accessories to use, (I got the heels at a steal of 15$!), and completed it with my favourite new sunnies from The Snob Shop.

Unlike maxis and minis, styling a midi skirt can be a bit tricky sometimes. One doesn't always know the right occasion to wear it, or what to wear it with. Personally, I love the idea of teaming it with a graphic tee. It's so versatile, because you can dress it up to wear at night, or dress it down to wear during the day. If you ditch the necklace and trade in the heels for a pair of flats, one can easily pull this off at a brunch or even at work!

Have you tried the midi skirt yet? If yes, tell me how you styled it in the comments below or tag me on Twitter or Instagram!

P.S : Check out Missa More's range of clothing here. Their collection is affordable and chic too! You can find them on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook as well.
