#InVogueEyewear

One accessory I never leave home without, is a pair of sunglasses. You will easily find 2 or more pairs of sunglasses in my handbag or car at any given point of time. And being such a sunglass-addict, I love experimenting with various styles and designs from time to time.

So I was super excited to be part of this fun project with Vogue Eyewear and 5 other bloggers, and not to forget, a fantastic team to work with! We worked on this in Delhi, at the stunning Dusit Devarana property, with makeup by the magician Elton Fernandez and styling by Rishi Raj. We were shot by Atul Kasbekar, and I couldn't have asked for a better team!

I got a chance to go through Vogue Eyewear's collection, and I must say, it is super impressive! They have pieces to cater to all styles, and I'm sure there's something for everyone!

We had a ball of a time, interacting with each other, clicking selfies, and fooling around! There's a few BTS shots and a video below, that I'd suggest you don't miss out on!

Getting to my outfit and sunglasses, my look channeled a casual chic vibe. The sunglasses we went with, as you can tell from the picture above, have a violet gradient and a cat-eye frame. They were teamed with a metallic green sweater that I absolutely fell in love with, along with a neutral toned skirt to play to the casual chic theme. A pair of tan heels later, we were good to go! I was super happy with the entire ensemble, because the casual chic segment is literally right up my alley!

Sunglasses - Vogue Eyewear; Top, skirt, bracelet - stylist's own; Shoes - Forever21

The final pictures, as you can see, turned out absolutely amazing! I have many moments in my career where I feel extremely thankful for what I have and where I am, and this one definitely tops the list! You guys are the best, and I love you all to bits! x

Of prints and colours

These pictures were shot almost a month ago, and I've been meaning to post them on here for the longest time, but somehow, something or the other would come up every single time I'd sit to write. I finally decided to not let anything get in my way today.
Today's post portrays two very different aspects for Cyahi, a brand that deals in quirky and fun accessories. On visiting their website, my first thought was that their products would make for amazing gifting options! They have prints that would pretty much cover every need, whether you're looking for something simple and minimal, or something bright and colourful! I have fallen in love with their Art Prints and might just get some for myself soon!

Happy Tresses with Matrix Biolage

I share a love/hate relationship with my hair most days. It tends to get extremely unmanageable, dehydrated and super frizzy. Being in the world of fashion and beauty, I get to try-out various products and services to share with you guys. Today's post about the new Matrix Biolage range, includes a bit of both.

Lace x Velvet

This post wasn't really supposed to make it to the blog, but I really liked the outcome of this shoot, and I found myself in the mood to blog today. I've also promised myself to make every effort to be super active here, so this is probably a result of that too.

Rust & Rose Gold

It's December! It seems like this year has literally flown by in a flicker. The past few weeks have been a complete blur for me, most of my time spent procrastinating and avoiding my work as much as possible, and the rest of the time spent juggling a million things to do. But I have actually been looking forward to sitting down and writing this post today.

#UnBoxwithLIVA

You may have seen a few posts on my social media mentioning the #UnBoxwithLiva event that I recently attended. Since you've already read about my experience with Liva fabric in my previous blog post, you must be aware that I was very impressed with the fabric and had a great opinion of it before I even attended the event.

Of Vibrance & Comfort

I'm sure the brand Global Desi needs no introduction. Apart from being right up my alley in terms of style, colours and prints, Global Desi also has a special place in my heart. The first traditional outfit that I ever bought from my own earnings was from Global Desi. I was only 17 back then, and it was a huge deal for me, something I always remember when I enter a Global Desi store. I even have the outfit I bought back then, even though I don't really use it anymore.

Cocktail Party Conundrums

With wedding season round the corner, I have a long list of weddings to attend. And somehow I'm usually on the lookout for Indian outfits, and tend to overlook the cocktail event, given that my wardrobe is usually overflowing with dresses.

Collection One

Hello my lovelies!

I'm in a spectacular mood today, I think mainly because I've been working since 8 am and I've got so much done! You know that feeling of content? When you've got a huge to-do list to take care of, and you're actually going through it at the speed of light? That's exactly what I feel right now.

Eternal love of diamonds

My usual mornings begin with the struggle of having to choose an outfit, and on some days that is followed by a minimum of 15 minutes spent contemplating whether I should opt for a statement necklace or go for something dainty and delicate. Off late though, I've been reaching out for the latter. I've recently discovered the magic of fine jewellery and layering that instantly uplifts an outfit and adds that touch of elegance. And of course, diamonds being a girl's best friend, who can say no?

His and Hers ft. Topshop & Topman

I am so stoked for today's post, because I've been planning this for super long, and it's FINALLY happening! I've wanted to start a 'his and hers' series on the blog for as long as I can remember, but something or the other kept getting in the way. But the time has come at last.

#NoColourNoFashion!

I'm always looking for change, and I am open to experimenting when I feel like something's getting monotonous. Especially when it comes to my hair, if I've got the same type of hair cut or colour for a while, it just doesn't feel right, and I look for something different.

Flipkart Fashion Frenzy

So I posted two looks with the stuff I got in my recent Flipkart haul a while back (see the post here in case you missed it). And today, I've got two more!

Fire

I somehow feel like I don't emphasise this enough, but jewellery forms a very crucial part of an ensemble. It can be the deciding factor to see whether a look works or not. When buying gold or diamond jewellery, I often tend to get drawn to pieces that would work for a traditional occasion while also being completely apt for an affair that would require a slightly modern attire.

Weekend party ready with Flyrobe

The weekend is here, and it's a long one this time. And to make the most of it, I'm sure many of you girls have plans, especially for Saturday night! And of course, with these plans comes the usual stress of picking an outfit. I've mentioned Flyrobe before (find the post here in case you missed it), and today I'm sharing the perfect party night Flyrobe find with you!

Simple Refinements

You may know this about me already, but I love how a statement piece of jewellery can transform an ensemble completely and take it up to a whole new level. It's all about the details, and that's what can make an outfit stand out from the rest.

Flipkart Fashion fun!

I think I was living under a rock all this while, but I had never bought clothes from Flipkart before. I don't even know why. I just always associated Flipkart with being an overall marketplace, where you can just get anything and everything, and I somehow unknowingly overlooked the fashion section. Suddenly last month it felt like I was exposed to a whole new world that I wasn't even aware of, and I was amazed! They had SO many amazing clothing items, that I ended up shopping quite a bit for myself, hoping to make up for all the stuff I missed out on in the past haha. I made the most of their sale, and got way too many lovely pieces, mainly because they were super affordable and I just couldn't resist!

United Colors Of Benetton A/W'15

Although we don't have much of an 'autumn' here, autumn fashion is probably my favourite. I love the colours, and I'm always super intrigued to see the different styles and prints that brands have to offer for fall.

Contrast

Today I have yet another post with a pair of stunning Shillpa Purii earrings. In contrast to my last monochrome post, I've gone with a bright orange top this time, paired with my favourite denims.

Goth.

Gonna keep this post short cause I've had the longest day and I need to plan way too many shoots before I finally go to bed. You may have spotted me in this month's issue of The Juice Magazine. I shared a picture on Instagram as well. I shot a gothic look for the feature.

To begin with, the styling and shoot was so much fun! I felt so good to be pushing the boundaries with my style and makeup for this post. It was very creatively satisfying haha. With my makeup, I went with a dark smokey eye and some ombre lips for a change. A lot of you guys asked me how I did the lips. To sum it up, I basically used 2 matte lipsticks from L'oreal, Arabian Nights and Red Valentine. And I created an ombre by using the darker colour towards the outside, and the lighter colour on the inside. Trust me, it is almost as simple as it sounds.

Now onto the outfit, I took a mesh ankle length skirt and instead of an all black look, I incorporated a little colour with a floral corset and some white nails for a contrast.

Somehow I always get carried away with my typing even when I decide not to. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures. See you soon! x

I'll always be a girly girl.

This post was completely unplanned. I woke up yesterday wanting to look my girly best. I've always been the girl who loves pink and all things girly, but I have been deviating from that with my recent experimentations. However, today's post has clearly made up for all the recent absence.

The 'Almond Edit' - Forest Essentials

Today I'm bringing to you a brand I've loved for many years now, basically ever since I was introduced to it. I've raved about their Honey & Vanilla Hair Cleanser before, and a few other products as well, but this time round, I've got something a little bit different from just the regular product information.

Gold

The past few days have been a complete blur for me, among being involved in various shoots, being unwell, and trying to catch up on some rest. With fashion week going on, I wanted to make it to as many shows as I could, and I failed miserably haha. I have however, successfully planned my blog content for the coming month, and I'm super excited to share what I have in store for you!

#BestEver Pantene Review

Until about 2 years ago, I always neglected my hair and never took very good care of it, while simultaneously using styling tools on it very often. This ultimately resulted in a lot of damage, hairfall, and frizziness. Over the years, I've used multiple products on my hair, and while some have worked wonders, most haven't. I like to keep switching my shampoos and conditioners because I find that works best with my hair.

Saviours.

I know I'm not the only one that experiences this, but we all have those days when we can't find anything to wear. And if it's before a big night, more often than not, we resort to a black dress. I have a countless number of LBDs and black maxis, and they're like my constant saviours.

Aug 21, 2015

Juxtaposition.

Like you haven't seen enough of me in monochrome, I've got some more for you today. My last post featuring pieces by Shillpa Purii was more on the casual side (find it here in case you missed it).

Maybelline Colossal Eye Kit

So Maybelline came out with their new Colossal Eye Kit recently, and very kindly sent it over for me to check out. As seen in the above picture, it includes the following products:

Ongoing Floral Obsession

So you probably saw this skort in a story on my Roposo profile (find me there at @aashnashroff). I wanted to wear it a different way the other day because I'm in love with the print on it, and pink/purple hues are my absolute favourites! I got it from Fashion Nova, and I'm pretty much obsessed with it!

Veet Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin

I've always struggled with hair removal, especially since waxing was never an option for me. That was mainly because I have a very low pain threshold. Another reason I've never opted for waxing or any kind of hair removal that involves plucking my hair out is because my skin is very sensitive and is prone to eruptions post such methods.

Monochrome Moods

You know my love for monochrome, right? And MakeMeChic too, right? Well, brace yourself for some more. It ain't gonna end. Ever.

Nykaa Freedom Sale!

My last post with Nykaa was a beauty haul from their website, and I was so happy with the service and my products, that I decided to share their Freedom Sale with you guys as well. They have so so many brands at amazing discounts, and you HAVE to take advantage of this!

Mermaid Dreams

I've always wanted to do a blog post with a surreal theme. And who doesn't love mermaids right? Since Disney dominated most of our childhood memories, The Little Mermaid pretty much got me wanting to be one for a huge part of my childhood!
