Revlon Nearly Naked

If you follow me on Snapchat (@thesnobjournal in case you don't), you may have seen that I attended the launch of Revlon's Nearly Naked collection in India. Ever since, I've been trying out the foundation and powder, so I thought I'll share my experience on the same with you guys. This is my first proper foundation review, and if all goes well, I'll probably do another soon.

The Oversized Boyfriend Shirt Dress.

Today, I'm talking about a store that means more than just a brand to me. I've probably mentioned them an umpteenth number of times on my blog, so unless you're new here, I'm sure you know of MakeMeChic thanks to my constant ranting. I'd been an avid MakeMeChic shopper way way before I even considered starting a blog, and their collection has always appealed to my style. I even mentioned them in my favourite international shopping sites last year (find the post here). 

The first time I bought something from their website was over 4 years ago. Ever since, MakeMeChic has been my go-to place when I'm looking for a pair of shoes or an outfit that's very different from the stuff you see around. The only downside that came with shopping from www.makemechic.com was the shipping cost. Since the store is based in the US, getting it shipped to India involved a whopping shipping charge. And not to forget the customs charges as well. And hence, I'd always save up and order stuff before my birthday.

So when I got the opportunity to collaborate with them last year, I was over the moon! But today, I've got some super news. Not just for you, but for me too haha. MakeMeChic now offers free international shipping above orders above $175. Given that my birthday is coming soon, nothing makes me happier! And even better, my package reached me within a week, and I was charged no duty on the stuff I ordered!

One of the things I got from them was this oversized boyfriend shirt dress. I loved everything about it, right from the colour, to the suede fabric, to the super loose fit. And today, I've worn it two ways, one as a dress, and layered above shorts and a bralette in the other.

I'm in a bit of a rush today, because I'm currently functioning on very little sleep and a whole lot of caffeine that's beginning to wear off, so I'm going to keep this shorter than normal.

I pretty much share a love/hate relationship with the monsoons. Love probably because my birthday falls during this time of the year, and hate for every other reason haha. I cannot tolerate being outdoors in the rains, and they always tend to ruin shoots for me! We shot this last week, waking up at 4.30 am to make it to the location in time. We barely got 20 shots, and it started to pour! Thankfully, the shots were good enough, and the rains didn't ruin it entirely. 

Fringe Fest

We've all been seeing the fringe trend that's been going around lately, and it's here to stay, for a while at least. I personally love it, and can't seem to get enough of it. So you can imagine my happiness when I tried this dress on at Madison!

It may seem like I'm on a loop about this, but something I've always emphasised on from the very beginning, and I still believe in, is experimenting with my style. It's something I strongly recommend, because you never know whether you'll like something unless you give it a shot.

Travel Fixations.

We all love to travel, right? I'm almost certain that if anyone would be given the chance to travel the world, right now (for free of course), they would take it. I know I would. It's something about visiting new places and experiencing different things that is just so exciting!

I've been AWOL on the blog for almost a whole month now, and I can say with utmost certainty that I have missed blogging immensely. I had to get through a fair amount of personal muddles in the past month, but I'm finally finding my way back, and it feels so good!
