Last minute party prepping!

It's almost time for the December festivities to begin. Christmas is literally around the corner with just a few days to go. If you're anything like me, and leave all your things to do right till the last minute, getting an outfit beforehand for Christmas or New Year's Eve is next to impossible. And despite such short notice, I don't like to settle when it comes to my outfit. I still want the best of everything, and although that maybe too much to ask, a girl can try, right?

Olive Obsessions

Winter brings in it's gorgeous trends; dark colours, layers and lots more! This season, there have been one too many trends I've been obsessed with. Velvet, suede, faux leather, camouflage, and patches to name a few. But none of these compare to how obsessed I've been with the colour olive these past few months. I don't say the word obsession lightly, I basically want to own everything olive! Like every single thing I can find! It's not been too good for my wallet though, haha!

Sapphire Velvet

Fall/winter time is my favourite time of the year when it comes to dressing. I love layering, and it's so much fun to finally be able to pull out all the velvets, suedes and boots from your closet! Fashion evolves beautifully this time of the year, and I love sporting dark wintery hues in various textured fabrics!

France Travel Diary : Lux Fragrance Experience in Paris

Hey hey!

I'm currently in Sri Lanka, in this beautiful city called Galle (if you're on my Snapchat or Instagram, you probably already know), but I'm sharing the first of my Paris travel diaries with you! Lux very kindly invited me to be part of their Global Ambassadors and along with a few other influencers from various parts of the world, took us on a fragrance experience to Paris and Grasse, which is the fragrance capital of the world. I also got to spend my 23rd birthday in Paris, which was beyond exciting, since I'd always wanted to visit the city!

Dark and Bright

The past few weeks have been such a blur, with so much happening and time has literally flown by! I can't believe we're already halfway through September! But I'm really not complaining, I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope you guys are following me on Snapchat (username : thesnobjournal), because I have a lot of fun shoots and a little bit of travel too in the coming weeks!

The Bohemian Traveller

Currently sitting at the airport in Morocco, waiting to get back home. I have a good 24 hours of flights, layovers and airport lounges ahead of me, which I'm not looking forward to, but I'm so glad to finally have decent internet access! The beauty of Morocco has got me so inspired and pumped up to get back and work on a lot of new stuff!

There's something about bohemian dressing that makes me feel all confident, comfortable and carefree. Adding that hippie vibe to a look can be a lot of fun, and this time, I've done it with a little bit of an edge. I started off with a basic top and denim shorts from Only, and decided to go for this super colourful Only longline shirt dress to layer over my look. I love how the colours are so fall inspired, but still manage to keep that bright, vibrant feel of summer going on. The ornate print reminds me of all the intricate details in Morocco, and how I wish I'd brought this outfit here with me! I finished the look with a floppy hat and suede boots, opting for that carelessly careful vibe.

Back to College

Summer holidays have come to an end, and from all the memories I have of my college days, there was always something bittersweet about getting back to college life. As much as I hated the thought of having to wake up early and get to class everyday, half asleep, with my makeup done in a hurry, there are so many memories from those days that I will always cherish. And I must admit, there are times when I wish I'd put in a little bit more effort into my outfit at the time. 

Retrospection

This won't come as news to my Snapchat or Instagram fam, but I've been down with typhoid for the past few days. And I'm not really one to complain about spending time in my own company. In fact, I usually love some down time for myself. But knowing that I'd have to spend a good week or more at home, mostly alone, was something I was really not pleased about to begin with.

The Ultimate Braid Brunch

When it comes to braids, I don't think you'll ever come across someone who struggles with them as much as I do. Which is probably one of the biggest reasons why I prefer leaving my hair loose most of the time, and you barely see me sport a different hairstyle. I'm used to having my mum braid my hair for me every time I oil it, and the one year I spent studying away from home, I'd watch tutorials on YouTube on how to do a basic braid, and would still not end up with it looking right.

Starting with this one, I was at the Lifestyle store in Hyderabad last weekend as part of the Style Circle, where I got the chance to meet so many of you guys! Enchanteuse

The wardrobe transitions that happen between seasons are my favourite! Not only do I get the chance to wear things that have been lying around the back of my closet for months, but I also get an excuse to go shopping! (not like we need one now, do we?) As some of you may probably know, I'm always up for an outfit that is feminine, soft and pretty. Spring and summer are the perfect time for me to channel that side of me, and I certainly make the most of it.

Happy state of mind

I'm working on this post while sitting in my hotel room in Goa. I've come here with my family, and it's so lovely getting away from all the craziness in Bombay! I've only been here two days now, and although I have been working a little bit on and off, I don't feel the normal work pressure that I do back home.
