Happy state of mind

I'm working on this post while sitting in my hotel room in Goa. I've come here with my family, and it's so lovely getting away from all the craziness in Bombay! I've only been here two days now, and although I have been working a little bit on and off, I don't feel the normal work pressure that I do back home.

Do you ever smell something and are almost instantaneously taken back to the past? The scent of a Yardley product immediately makes me feel nostalgic. I lived in the same house as my grandmother and grand-aunt, and you could safely say that Yardley was their signature scent, and my mom’s too. So every time someone mentions Yardley, it brings back so many happy memories, including those where I’d secretly use their Yardley products because it made me feel all charming and pretty, just like them.

I'm sure most of us women, if not all, dread those 5 days every month. That moment when you realise that you're on your period, is the worst. Because you know what's coming; the cramps, mood swings, breakouts, cravings, and then some more cramps. Not to forget the constant lethargy, bloating and uncomfortable feeling. But given the busy lives we lead, no matter how badly we want to take those 5 days off and just stay in bed, it may not always be feasible. One of America's popular street artists from the 80s, Keith Haring's work has got the appreciation of many. Samsonite recently created a travel range around some of his signature work. Quite different from the usual Samsonite products, they put Keith Haring's iconic graffiti design on a few travel accessories. A Chloé Love Affair

I don't know about any of you, but I have a luxury lust list. It mainly includes a list of stuff from high end brands that I'd someday like to own, be it makeup, bags, shoes, basically the works. And believe it or not, the Chloé Drew has topped my list for at least the past year if not more. I am the kind of person who thoroughly enjoys my high street shopping, but has a never-ending love affair with all things luxury at the same time.
